A big welcome, bitis78! I know you'll enjoy the OB and it looks as though you already know what you're doing orchid-wise. That's a lovely plant. I had one about a year ago that came to me from Brazil but it unfortunately didn't survive the transition to my growing area. Seem to have a problem with Encyclias.

Thanks for the welcomes!
Snow: Yep - I have quite a few others - there's an incomplete list on my profile if you want to check it out... and yes... I do have Dendrobiums...lol
Shirley: I'm sorry to hear that - Encyclias are so lovely and it's a shame to be unable to grow them. I've decided to collect as many as I can, as they seem too do well in Sydney.
I'll be sure and post pics as the plants flower!
Cheers,
Andrew.

Your account of the fragrance intrigues me. Perhaps I will give this one a try some day. Thanks for posting, and Welcome to the Orchid Board.

Great looking flowers, Andrew, and welcome aboard. I have a radiata that grows like a weed, but won't bloom. What's your secret besides location, location, location?

Yes - this is definitely one worth trying. I grow mine under a translucent alsynite awning outside - up high and away from my dogs, who love the taste of orchids! The backyard is all paved, so no chance of frost and the light hits the orchids at about 7am - crucial to get the plants to warm after a chilly night. I'm allowing the pseudobulbs to shrivel a bit between waterings.
Kim: What conditions do you grow yours in?
The fragrance: Vanilla and spice to the power of ten!
Thanks again all!
Andrew.
