Any of you oldsters out there remember that tv show? My lil 'octopus' family brought it to mind.

Encyclia/Prostheca cochleata

And as you may have guessed, there are 8 blooms. The fragrance is rather honey-like IMO.

I thought the texture in the lip was rather nifty

I agree with Sheridan....but must say it is a beauty. I like ency. but I don't have this one. My Nursery Rhyme is about to bloom w/two spikes. Thanks for the color in our lives today!
