This is my first species/primary hybrid of a labiate cattleya I have gotten to bloom. Flowers are about 6" across, white veining, and crystalline. The color is so intensely vivid but I just could not capture it in a photo! The "true" color is much darker.

Blooms have a wonderful sweet, refreshing scent all day long. I love it!

They're very pretty. And in regards to the color, I agree with you. The first time I saw one of these (that is, not in a photograph), the color was astonishingly dark, looking to me almost like some sort of heavy velvet fabric. Congratulations on your flowers.

Well this is odd...

This flowered in January. I repotted this thing a month or two ago and the new growths matured about two weeks ago. Now, the newest growth started to spike again... A mossiae in August?? I thought these things rested for 6 months! They certainly did rest for a few months last year.
