Rlc. Oconee Mendenhall.
I bought this plant with flowering size in 2018 from Hawaii. I waited for the fall and it didn't bloom, it just grew; the following year it was so big that I had to transplant it and it continued to grow without flowering. The squirrels bit it, the seeds of a tree beat it, and finally this year the plant made its first flowering, nine flowers, which almost all synchronized, despite the thrips that do not let me rest.

Thanks for showing us the beautiful flowers from this orchid Merita. Wonderful deep colours here, and very nice lip. Beautiful. Also ------ excellent to see that it finally got around all those hurdles like thrips and squirrels this season.

Thanks friend, did you see the ones I bought in Hawaii? Take advantage of the fall sale.

I did indeed Merita! That is an early xmas by 10000000!
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing that collection of photos - including this one here. Will definitely be linking to there again later!

Oconee was one of Carter & Holmes most successful hybrids, and the ‘Mendenhall’ cultivar was the best of the lot.
