Producing two new growths is very good Jeff. As it looks like the schedule you're using right now is working nicely, then go with that schedule.

Two scenarios ------ one is that decreasing the watering allows the roots to breathe a bit ..... ie. gets some O2 into them so that they can survive.

The other scenario is ..... new roots growing into a watery/wet environment, which then are starting to become adapted to the watery environment - which is like getting used to a semi-hydro condition.

In any case - things are looking good now ----- so maybe staying with your current schedule is all we need. Looking good Jeff.

Buds are starting to bulk up! I was getting worried the sheath was going to damage the flowers as they emerged but that fear was unfounded.

That's ok! As it appears that this is a sheathless flowering. There was probably no sheath hehehe.

Thank you! So early/mid summer means July-ish? Then the blooming growth started 3 months later in October?

Mine just finished their growths in October so if it's going to bloom, sounds like the growth might not start till January or later?

That seems about right.

This guy seems to have found a cool way to grow walkeriana on his kitchen counter in wicking hydroponics. He has a good video that shows bulb vs flower growths as well.

I think you're in a good spot to get blooms this winter/spring. If you had moved your plants mid-spike, they would have aborted.
