Prosthechea radiata
Finally in full bloom, 6 spikes with about 70 blooms total. The previous year it produced three spikes, and each of the growths produced 2 new ones which are currently blooming. Each of those has produced 2 or 3 new growths for next year's bloom. It should really be something!

That one is not worth keeping. Why don't you let me take it off your hands?

subrosa ----- fantastic display!!!
I haven't smelled the flowers from that before. I bought one plant of that this year. At first, I assumed the scent was supposed to be not nice. But now that I search the internet, it appears to be a nice smell. Must have been a different kind of Encyclia that doesn't smell nice.

Apparently this species is highly variable in fragrance, or perhaps different people perceive the fragrance differently. I have heard the words "cat urine" used to describe the fragrance of this one. I hope your experience with yours is as positive as mine!

That's a great show - congrats!
These smell a little different throughout the day. Mostly like root beer.
