Hi everyone!
I wanted to show you the flowers of a cattleya that blooms for the first time, it is a hybrid that I bought two years ago, very small, the plant is small too. Needless to say, the disappointment this plant gave me. Temperature can affect? Will it be fixed or will I have to throw it away?

It is very common for the first few blooms to be abnormal. Let it flower a few more times.

Thanks, the flower has a nice color and good texture, I was sad because I read that it could be something genetic in yellow flowers.

Merita ----- is it the first time flowering? I love individuality like that! Something different and a nice departure from the ordinary. If I had that orchid, I would look forward to seeing how it opens next time ..... to see what other nice surprises it has.

Thank you, I have told you that I have many hybrids, some clones and other seedlings waiting for the surprise of seeing the flowers. Last year one came out without the color in a part of a flower's petal, this year this one came out deformed, but since several different plants bloom each year, it is not bad compared to those that do well.
