Cattleya gaskelliana variety coerulea
This is the second flowering this year. The first flowering occurred during the typical early spring blooming cycle. I was very happy when I noticed that the sheath on the summer growth (which normally doesn't produce flowers for me) was initiating buds. Wonderful fragrance right now, which is attracting lots of hornets, wasps and bumble bees (meaning that it's a prudent idea to pay attention before you stick your nose too close).
