So pretty! I love the color, especially with the darker red lip.

Alliecat, we can't see the lower sepals on your plant... are there 2 as usual, or are they fused into 2?

They are there, just very very tiny in relation to the others. Its settled in a bit more today, so they are more noticeable now. I can get another picture.

I see them too, but small.

If they had been fused, we'd have to changed the title of the thread to mutant SVO bloomers. My flower that started this thread was very odd with fused parts.

Looking forward to seeing more pictures of yours as it opens up!

Especially with two plants from the same grex showing mutations... might be worthwhile for both of you to send Fred Clarke pix and ask if he has noticed this on other plants in the cross. And if so, if he has seen them straighten out in subsequent bloomings if they have bloomed more than once for him. Remember, he has a much larger sample to observe.

True. MJG's flower has 2 sepals. The upper sepal being in the usual spot, and the other one being diametrically opposite. And also no lip. Very cute flower.

AC's flower is very cute too, with the small sepals.

Its slightly more fluffy and full looking now. It definitely pulled after the seed parent.

So the smaller sepals on mine is technically a mutation?
