I second the carnivorous plant suggestion, especially for a small area. I have a butterwort and some sundews in my grow area next to a plant that had an infestation and they wiped the gnats out in a couple weeks. They’re also super cool.

Yes, with this fan the plants will need more frequent watering. I only have gnats briefly on a few occasions when bringing in a new plant. They are soon gone.

HI Dorchid, thank you so much for sharing your experience.

Will try all the suggestions from everyone, starting from the least impact to my sensitive skin & breathing to possibly offering them for adoption as my last resort.

Thanks. Im glad that their leaves feels solid and hard. Lots of work on the five attached to lava rock. Requires light misting (focus on roots) at least 5 times a day.
