This cultivar is readily available, but hasn't appeared for a few years or so in OrchidBoard. Lots of pics online.
This time, we'll just take a look at a bud pic, and a flower pic with no direct sunlight shining on it.
When the sun is shining on it, the violet colour can turn more pinkish/red (visibly that is). I don't think the violet patches ever appear as full-on red-coloured in bright sunlight.
The cat hairs on the leaf of the bud pic are compliments from ginger cat hahaha. I have since removed the hair from the leaf.
There happens to be an ant on the tip of the bud. And the open flower pic shows that the white stripe region is thicker on the left-hand petal than on the right-hand petal. That's how this flower panned out haha. Some individuality is good (as mentioned in some other thread).
Also - interestingly, there really is another orchid having one parent the same (ie. Rlc. Memoria Helen Brown being the same parent) ----- that develops flowers looking just like this one. That other cross is Rlc. Yen Corona 'Green Genie'.
The cultivar names are quite similar. Two different crosses - very similar looking flowers - often said as being visually indistinguishable. Whether it really is visually indistinguishable ------- not sure (yet).
