Rth. Dal's Emperor 'Allan'
Rth. Dal's Emperor 'Allan' is a mini-catt with yellow flowers. The flowers of this cultivar has been seen on OrchidBoard before.
A bud started to open yesterday, and one flower is fully open this morning. This calls for some pics to upload!
In the warmer climates - the flower is mostly yellow. In cold climates, the low temperature will often allow the edge of the lip to have pinks and/or red colours around the lip perimeter.
The 'white specks' on the petals look like salt specks in the photos - so not very outstanding as seen in the photos. The camera just so-happened to not capture the sparkly diamond glittery feature of the flower in the sunlight (seen in lots of orchid flowers - but can't always be picked up by the camera).
Here are some nice pics below:

Update 1: both flowers opened now!
Update 2: Another flower from a different division (from originally the same plant) opened - and nice to include one more photo, with the flower having developed some pink/violet around the lip perimeter.

hahaha! Thanks DeaC for asking about gingercat and liking gingercat!
This is a recent pic - not taken on the same day ----- just a few days before the flowering. It's gingercat sleeping on her shift (again hahaha).

This time, a flower managed to develop some colour around the lip perimeter - most likely due to the low temperature we had recently - maybe!
This flower here is really from the same plant as the other flowers ----- just divided into divisions.
The original plant had quite a lot of bulbs - which I divided into four lots, and kept growing - totally unphased - and all produced buds and/or flowers very quickly after dividing.
A dendrobium beetle did destroy a bud on one of the divisions. But that's ok! Another division currently has 2 buds and maybe will open in another week or two!

I forgot to mention that the white column will eventually change to violet as the flower ages a bit, and the petals will become a darker yellow. They're originally quite light canary yellow when very new.

Beautiful, love that tinged pink frill on the lip.
Ive found most of the plants with Dal in the name are good lookers.
Just had a Rlc. Dal's Horizen x Rlc. Burdekin Delight and a couple of other Rlc plants delivered today from Qld.

Let's have a "later" picture as it ages. I'd like to see the color change.
