Ive found most of the plants with Dal in the name are good lookers.

Just had a Rlc. Dal's Horizon x Rlc. Burdekin Delight and a couple of other Rlc plants delivered today from Qld.
Totally agree Diane! Dal is apparently a legend. Not with us anymore, but definitely a legend. David Littman, and I read somewhere - David Arthur Littman - aka Dal. I didn't know him unfort! He did a lot of amazing cattleya crossing work - in Brisbane I think.

Fantastic order Diane! I had seen some results of Dal's Horizon x Rlc. Burdekin Delight ....... very nice choice and order.

Nice bit of history that I wasn't aware of, thank you.

WW and JS ------ I took these pics this morning with the flower developing the violet on the column. The flower is still young, so the petals is not darker in yellow just yet.

I will also add one extra pic, after gingercat followed me out to the driveway after taking the flower pics, and then used my shoe as a pillow for a little while. Cats do that sort of thing of course, but just so-happened to have my phone-cam with me after taking the flower photos haha.

Its only a touch of violet but it makes a lots of impact on the bloom.

Both Catt and cat are doing well. 😁

Totally agree Diane! Speaking of cats and catts, I didn't notice for the last pic taken from the previous post had the upper sepal naturally by itself flipped to a convex shape.

For the latest pics taken this morning - some 'magical' undivine intervention took place hehehe. I flipped the upper sepal into the concave position (sort of like flipping gingercat's ear in and out haha).

Recently - I really was needing to flip gingercat's ear - trying to use the ear cleaner fluid on a tissue to poke into her ears for a cleanout. When she scratches her ears due to itchiness, the dirt from her feet gets right into the ears ----- builds up a bit after a while.

The attached pics are justing showing the upper sepal flipped to the concave position.

One final batch of bright yellow to show to brighten things up.

Please wear sunglasses if you need to hehehe

There are a few shots - only to show the variations when the sun shine on the flower with different intensities, and how much light gets into the camera.

It kind of ate up all that lavender on the edges as it brightened up. Fun changes.

Does that cat ever move off the top of that freezer? I think you have a real one and a stuffed one.
