LET THERE BE FLOWERS!!!
YOU GUYS! Only been a few days not even since my last update and one of the buds bloomed open overnight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
It is stunning I can’t believe it survived. For the ID: this is an orchid I bought from Hausermann’s in Chicago and it is the potinara Thi ti “sweetheart” miniature Cattleya, hence why the flowers are so small and precious!!!!
I regret not setting up a timelapse I might have to do that for the other bud!!!!!!!
IT truly is stunning!!! I! Can not express my thanks enough to all for your help to save this orchid!!!!!!! What a transformation journey this has been!!!!!!!!!

oh my goodness!!!!! That orchid flower is so pretty! I like it a lot! Thanks for uploading those pics!!!!!!!!! Now that's what we want to see!
Beautiful chartreuse tepals, and the nice colouring around the lip perimeter. Will see what final colour the tepals become later. Nice!

That's just great! Wonderful!
Let's review the lessons.... - Outdoors in summer is generally good, but be careful not to sunburn and remember to water.
- When there's a problem, don't cut off roots unless they are dark black or brown and slimy. If in any doubt, don't cut any roots.
- No cinnamon, no hydrogen peroxide on roots. They won't help with sick roots and will probably make things worse. Roots can take care of themselves. The only root treatment I would use is KelpMax from First Rays.
- When a plant is sunburned, don't cut off anything until it dries up and turns papery brown.
- If possible, repot only when the plant is just making brand new roots nubs, and they are less than 1/2" / 1.75cm long.

Time-lapse of second bud!!!!
Hey all! Have been meaning to update everyone, but the second bud opened up end of last week, and both are smelling and looking as radiant as ever!!!
I took a time-lapse of the bud opening. Unfortunately I bumped my iPad, but take a look on the link below! Hope you all enjoy!!! So thrilled to have this beautiful orchid in my home and that it was successfully rescued. Curious to see how long the flowers last and when I can plan to see any new growths happen off the rhizome! EXCITING STUFF!!!!

Exquisite. That is a gem for sure. It is beautiful.
Compares very nicely with orchids like Rlc. Xanthette and other ones.

Really enjoyed the time-lapse video too!

Update and question on leaves?
Hi y’all update on this orchid!
It has started growing a new cane, woo hoo! It is still a small one, which I suspect is because the orchid has to regrow its strength back after I set it back last summer lol.
One thing I did notice though as the new leaves from last years stalks have these new brown/blackish marks. I checked for spider mites and found nothing no webbing or silvery anything.
Any idea what it is?
I did move this orchid to a new location so that it can receive better light, but there is a curtain to block direct bright light. So I don’t think it’s sunburn or spots?
LMK!
