My temperature can go from 5 or 6 in "winter" to 107 in summer. Those are the extremes. I have one greenhouse with evaporative cooling and two shade houses. My flowering rexs are usually in the greenhouse. Temperature there is never under 60 and can go to 90 in the worst heat. that will be two or three days in the summer.
Cattleyas stop making sugar at 90 degres and use all their energy for respiration. So, plants in the greenhouse do better than the rest.
The difference in the flower is easy to see when you have both plants in bloom. My Ayacucho bloom first and is much bigger that the Moyobambas. I do not know if was lucky and have a polyploid, or if all the plants are that size. It is as big as a Warscewiczii.Flowers have are bigger, had more substance and have some flare on it, but that could be specific to that plant.
The others are have more yellow/orange and less red. Plants are smaller and flowers are also smaller.
