Cattleya luteola- light level

Hello-

I've grown and flowered now twice a Cattleya luteola seedling that I picked up 2 years ago. I am curious about tweaking its culture.

I was wondering about light levels- I have burned it a bit last spring growing it in a little too much direct light. Since then I have grown it is much more shady than I would grow a cattleya during the summer. The leaves are definitely more dark green than a typical cattleya. But is has also bloomed with 4+ flowers on a spike.

Anyone have any experience with this species?

I heard Alan Koch speak. He mentioned Cattleya luteola. He said it is a low light plant, and higher light levels produce fewer flowers.
