Pretty. I had eight spikes on my Appleblossom.....and then the lizards got most of them so I have only a couple of flowers.

If the lizards are iguanas, eating them would be good payback. Along with frog legs and actual chickens, iguana is the only animal I've ever tasted that really does taste like chicken.

Gorgeous blooms! The color variation is nice to see, I didn't realize there were more yellow types. I've been on the look out for this hybrid for ages. I saw it once at a vendor I often shop at but I was too slow to prepare my order...

I didn't know that Jackfowliera was the new name for this one.

There are several yellow clones of this cross. Sadly my other yellow one 'NN' is pretty far behind these, so I won't be able to get a pic of the 3 together

Well, I haven't seen an iguana in a few weeks so I'm actually starting to think it's the curley tails starting a bad habit. I thought they just ate insects but after some research that is apparently not necessarily the case.

First of all. Beautiful flowers! I'll be very keen to smell those nice scents one day of the flowers from this type of orchid, as it looks like some forum members all say very nice fragrance.

Second ----- very interesting - about the iguanas. We got some lizards here in Australia (goanna) - that mainly live in the bush - away from the urban regions ----- different kind of lizard - or at least different colour anyway (not green coloured heheh).

I certainly did see some shows like 'Man versus Food' where people were catching iguanas in Florida, for eating! I will believe you - about tasting like chicken. As we know so many people eating a new food will say 'tastes like chicken' hahahaha. But it definitely sounds to me they truly taste like chicken.

Both varieties are very pretty!
One year when both the apple trees and my Apple Blossom were in bloom, I compared mine to the apple trees and the flowers smelled exactly like the blooms of my Jonathan apple tree.

I often regret giving this one away when I gave away all the larger Cattleyas. It was a faithful bloomer and always put on a nice show.
