Yes, I feel guilty partly because I grow them outside, in the trees, I don't have another place, many have been like that for more than five years and I didn't have big problems, my hobby is shared with Mother Nature, that's why I have to prepare for what may come after this.
Thanks Merita. If your orchids can pull through this season - ie. can endure the hits, then they'll probably be able to handle living outdoors in your area.
Some of my outdoor orchids (getting direct afternoon sun) get bombed by irregularly high peak sun light intensities in at least some growing seasons. The plants get some leaves scorched but easily pulls through.
