OBro, understand completely. Mine would be in my living space if this is time of year it blooms, and I want it anyway. I have some great essential oils and a diffuser, so I can make it work if necessary. Plus a fan I often have on blowing out instead of in, regardless of temperature.
Now a corpse flower.... ummm, no.

And maybe you'll be lucky, get one like mine that doesn't smell at all. Clearly there are some cultivars like that.

I saw a Arum Cornutum bulb (VooDoo Lily) back in 2005 and had never heard of it. Bought two, gave one to a friend. Was working in an office at that time, and just sat it on a bookshelf by my desk, having been told it would just bloom without doing anything.
Well, it did start to bloom, crazy fun. Then I kept getting wafts of a horrendous stench (rotting meat). Couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Finally it bloomed enough I could tell where that smell originated. Whoops!!
Needless to say, it went outside and met its demise. Cool plant, but oh hellsno!

Never heard of that one before now but that story is truly hilarious. I would love to have been a fly on your office wall as you tried to figure out where the smell was coming from. You would think a vendor would mention something to you about the smell before you bought it but then again, maybe not, because then they would probably never be able to sell them.

OrchidBro... you would not have been a fly on the wall. You would have been a fly on the flower. That's the whole purpose of smelling like rotten meat...irresistible.
