It can happen Merita, as this wonderful plant of yours is probably not a clone. It's one of the countless possibilities from the cross between two parent hybrid orchids. And you ended up with a great result.

Having the colour on the ends of the petals puts it into the splash petal category. And having splash petals means extra colour for us to look at, which is very nice.
