Scott ------ while weekly watering might be ok for your conditions ----- how is the water applied?
Does the orchiata bark get wetted enough when watering? Two things I heard of are - dried bark takes a while to become wetted, and also - bark that has developed fungal cilia film can be really difficult to wet.
I think your bark looks just fine.
Also - it sounds like this particular orchid is looking quite different from all the rest of your nice orchids. So cal-mag is definitely worth a try.
