Nice. Looks like they also call it Encyclia radiata. In the aussie ebay stores, the smell is described to be very strong, and smell of 'almond'. And the description also says 'upside down orchid'. I definitely like almond smell! This probably won't be good for those that are allergic to nuts. Not sure.

Just ordered one of these just moments ago. The advertised almond smell (very strong) has definitely got my attention.

It seems like it's going to form quite a specimen in fairly short order. Each of the previous year's growths has started 2 new, very vigorous growths.

The one I ordered is a 4N, and nice size by the looks of it. I'll try scoria media when it gets here. I wouldn't have known about this particular plant if it wasn't for this thread. If the smell of this particular ordered plant flower is almond, then it would go well with my Onc. Twinkle. A same time flowering would mean vanilla and almond!
