These photos are of the orchid called Rth. Dal's Success 'Michelle'.
I assume it was Dal (- extremely well-known grower/breeder David Arthur Littman, not with us anymore) that named this orchid. Somebody that knew him (or about him) can add something - whether or not 'Dal' stands for David Arthur Littman. I assume it does
I have only heard and read of his excellent work with hybridisation of Catts type orchids in Australia.
The open-flower photos were taken today ----- on the second day of opening. Only half-open at the end of day #1 (yesterday). It was maybe 5 or 6 months ago when the sheath was formed.
The red stripe patterns in the throat is nice. Nice display of yellow too.
