Any way to guide a horizontally growing Catt growth?

I had to water the plant and the roots in the tub. Then the water dripped from the roots all over the house when moving it to its growing room.

If I like the flowers enough to keep it, I'll just buy another vase and grow it like my oldest Catt. I periodically stuff the new roots into the vase to keep the plant manageable. (Taking this photo reminds me that I need to dump out the algae soup at the bottom and replace with fresh water...)

Might have to train them when they're 'young'. When they're young and if it looks like they're going to grow side-ways, then could possibly use a suitable structure ---- a small scale one .... a structure for re-directing the path of the growth. This would probably be easier to do when the shoot is young. Probably harder to do when the growth is too long or hardened already.

For the plant in the opening photo post, could still possibly gently tie something (like twine) on somewhere along the developing growth, and make the twine (somehow) gently pull upwards ..... and hopefully after some time or some weeks etc, the directly of growth might become directed upward. The whole growth won't go upwards - that's for sure --- but maybe at least some part of it could change direction after a while.
