Strange markings on flowers
Hi everyone,
I am very pleased to have many cattleyas in bloom right now, but the strange markings on the flower sepals are bothering me.
See attached pictures.
Could this be from there being allot of happy sap on the buds while they were close to the light? The sap might have acted like a magnifying lens.
Could it be fungal?
Or worse a virus?
Please give me your opinions.

All is see is the whitish markings near the apices of the petals, and that can be nothing more than discoloration due to drying before the buds opened.

Yes, there are white marks on one of them. There are also circular darker patches on the sepals.
I am growing in Phoenix without a humidifier, so the buds drying out is plausible.
