Default Leptotes bicolor

Smells like bubble gum.

Note: It only emits fragrance in early morning (around 6~7 o'clock) then gradually fades away as the sun goes up.

Leptotes bicolor-20190313_074247-jpg

I've bought this around 2015, so it has been about 4 years.

It was originally came potted in sphagnum moss, a small blooming-sized plant with five bulbs or so. At first, I mounted it on a slab of pumice rock. It did OK, but two years ago I decided to experiment a bit and tried plastic mesh filled with various porous inorganic materials (chunk of pumices, lava rocks, and polymer sponges). And it just took off from there...it really likes being on that mount-like-thingy I made.

Btw, there's some pincushion moss colonizing around the roots and it seems to like my bicolor does not mind its company. I think it actually helping my plant to do better by keeping moisture around roots, and my bicolor is helping the moss by providing shade from sun.
