Soooooo fragrant! Even if the flowers were dog ugly, I'd still keep this one just for the scent. This is a primary hybrid between Cl. rosea x warsewiczii.

I've got two plants here. The first two photos are a division I got from Katrina a few years back and the second division is from another friend that I got last year.

I really love the light pink Catasetums, rather than the ones with rotten meat colors.

Thumbs up

Spectacular blooms. Mine is somewhat new from last yr. and is just pushing out small leaves but has bloomed previously. Can't quite get the culture routine yet so any advice is welcome. And what type of pot have you used? TY

I usually stop watering around the end of November and aim to start watering again around Memorial Day.

I've got this planted in a plastic container that I turned into a pot. I switched all my Catasetinae over to the PET method of growing, which is common in Brazil. The results were outstanding! Go to YouTube and search "PET Catasetum" and you see several Brazilian videos describing the technique. I don't speak Portuguese, but just watching the videos are enough to give you an idea of what they're doing.
