Ctsm. tigrinum blooms
I got this lovely little plant from SVO as part of a birthday present from my wonderful hubby last year. I have only had it for one growing season, and it decided to give me these lovely blooms.
I figured this one was a while from blooming as the bulbs are tiny, like only three inches tall, and only the diameter of maybe a nickel.
I am a bit late posting this, as it bloomed in mid-December.

That's a beauty! Coincidentally, Fred Clarke gave a talk at our orchid society meeting today (Ann Arbor, MI) and I definitely remember seeing that one in the slide show.

That is a treat, to be able to hear Fred talk. He came to our OS last year; I think he was one of the best presenters we've had.

I've seen him speak several times on several topics and he really is an excellent lecturer!

Thank you all.
I put my plants outside on a wooden shelf that gets morning sun, and is shaded by my garage in the afternoon from around May to October-ish and water almost daily unless it rains. I fertilize when i think about it. I am on a deep well, so I think they get some minerals from that at least. I have almost all of the Catasetinae in sphag moss. I have one in a mix of bark and moss since it came in straight small bark that needed to be changed. I am going to put it in straight moss this spring since it grew pretty well, but really shriveled fast if it got slightly dry.
I would love to see Fred Clarke speak, I know the local society has had him come before, but I just can't get to meetings since I moved out to the boonies!
