Fdk. After Dark 'Sunset Valley Orchids' FCC/AOS
This plant summered outside and came in when the night temperatures dropped. Thirty one blooms on two spikes, with the second spike just opening now. It is more spotted than my other one, which I posted on Halloween.

Beautiful, I love the spots! I didn't realize that these could bloom so late in the year.

Great display - your plant looks leafless - have you stopped watering already?

Yes, all it's leaves yellowed and dropped last week. I am watering VERY lightly while it is in bloom, but will stop completely when the blooms start to drop.
My other After Dark was in full bloom for Halloween, but this one was outside, so it had cooler nights, which may have slowed down it's development.

Aw man, I am so going to have to get one of these. I'm just not sure they will do good in my low humidity. That is beautiful.

You can compensate for low humidity by giving more water. In the heat of summer, when they should be growing fast and their roots are already long, I leave water in the under-saucer after watering. They seem to like it a lot.
