This is a first bloomer I got from SVO a couple years ago. At the time it was the most advanced Fdk breeding, (Fdk. After Midnight 'SVO Dark Beauty' FCC/AOS x Ctsm. John C Burchett 'Ursa Major' FCC/AOS). That would make it F3. Now I think there are a few more F3 crosses. Anyways... On it's first blooming it’s bigger than any other Fdk awarded to date. Kind of stoked about that. The future looks bright! Enjoy

That dark lip with the dark speckles is really attractive.

Gorgeous blooms, I love the speckles! I imagined them to be much smaller until I got to the photo with the tape meaasure. Those are pretty big flowers! Maybe a future award winning plant?

Yes, I think it could be a winner some day when it grows up. Color, shape, size are all there. It’s funny how Ctsm. John C. Burchett imparts that same spotting pattern to other hybrids as well, I’ve seen it on clowesetums it has parented too

I was surprised it bloomed this year, it threw out two small growths instead of one large one. Recently it started another growth that has a spike developing from the apex. I’m hoping next year it will get back on track. I’m reluctant to try to cross it just yet.
