Default Catasetum tenebrosum

This is not my favorite color combination, and the blooms don't last very long (it's been in bloom 2 weeks and the first ones are dropping already.) But the blooms open nicely and as they age, the petals pull back so they look like a flock of birds in flight.

Well, mine is inside on a windowsill, so it doesn't get huge temperature swings--maybe that helps.

Very cool! And 2 weeks is a great amount of time for male flowers to stick around!
