In general, a plant can also carry a cultivar name it if it is a clone. But SVO hardly ever produces clones... Fred would rather keep making new things. (He cloned a few of the early Fredclarkeara After Dark cultivars, but they were a very high-demand sensation at the time. He has since made significant improvements in that breeding line and just keeps creating.) But sounds like that misunderstanding has been laid to rest anyway.
