Default Catasetum Dentibarb

I purchased this seedling as Ctsm. Kleberbarb and had waited for the lovely, waxy yellow-lipped blossoms. Well, it turned out to be Ctsm Dentibarb (denticulatum x barbatum). Still an attractive flower, but not what I wanted. I've ordered another and hope that this time it is correct.

Here are two bud shots and one of the flowers.

I think Denibarb is a stunning cross. That is a mistake I'd love a vendor to make!

Bummer about the mix up, but still a nice cross!

Yeah, and the second plant has arrived and I believe we have the same mix-up. It is spiking and they are moving downwards, not upwards, as by Kleberbarb. I'll know in about 2 weeks.

Such is life. But there are much worse things than 2 Dentibarbs!
