I've been trying to decide how I wanted to re-pot mine! The one I acquired earlier this winter is currently potted in rather old sphagnum. It had 3 new growth tips, but aborted two within a few days, I think the humidity in my house was too low then. So the lonely new growth I have is growing insanely quickly, I have it in fairly high light in a cool/intermediate plant room I fashioned. As it warms up outside the room also warms up a bit and I have fans and humidifiers for humid air flow. I really like the idea of giving this guy some great organic media that airs out quickly! Thank you😃😄

Each have new growths almost 12in tall. I've never seen such huge growths. The secret ? I don't know except to say the bottom 1/3 of the pots are composted horse manure and I believe I have tended to 'overwater' them this time around. Illinois weather must have also contributed.
Hoping for a fantastic bloom display from these. My millennium magic are already spiking on smaller bulbs than last year ! Weird.

It is a shame, but there's always next year. I adopted this one from a friend who wasn't thrilled with it's color. So as a project I'm growing it in the highest light it'll handle just to see if I can improve the color. Potting her up in a nice open media sounds great, I can water and feed it often😆

I ran my Fred Clarke on 50% light and 150ppm nitrate 3 or 4 times a week. It's a lot bigger than the back bulb it grew from and is putting out 3 shoots.

That sounds like an amazing plan, I don't have an accurate light reading, but from shadow tests I'd say it's at least 50%, maybe just a little brighter. Thank you! 😊
