Hi Mandy.

As your plant has flowered before, you might be able to remember the lance-like shape/form
of the flower spike at that time ...

The odd thing your plant is producing now is probably a mis-developed leaf (pair of leaves).

Also, your plant is likely to be a man-made hybrid.

Lol I was confused with the first spike last year too 😂 I thought it was a new growth and it didn't find out till it started its downward direction that it maybe something else. Well I have some more growths coming out of the newer psuedobulbs so as always with this orchid, I don't know what they will turn out to be? I shall post pictures when I get back home tomorrow.

The last photoraph shows 2 normal leaf shoots.

To allow the plant to develop them well, the plant should now receive 'Cattleya light', WARMTH and heavy fertilising - also see previous thread on Orchid Board titled 'Understanding Coryanthes'.

Thank you so much for your advice I will just that. Do you know if the name is correct as Coryanthes acranthe? I am so confused about it, bc I have only see very little info on the Internet on coryanthes acranthe.

Well the bloom is out and looking great
