Paphinia Majestic
About time too --it's been what, a whole 3 months since it last bloomed? Course this time it was my fault, after having snapped two successive spikes as I tried to guide them into a better growing position (they were insisting on trying to grow into the glass at the back of the tank) finally had one make it. Only got one flower this time but it displayed well. Didn't even remove it from the terr to take the pic.

Oh, it's beautiful! Isn't it difficult to grow? What sort of cross is it?

I've only had it for about a year but so far it has been very easy. Only issue I have is that I need a taller terrarium.
The cross is Paphinia cristata X herrarae.

Oh and for those who are interested in such things ... the bloom is about 5-6 inches across.

Paul, it is soooo beautiful.
I have a Pahpinia cristata 'Dark Star' with two growths and a tiny new start. How long do you think I will need to wait for it to start blooming? It gets rather high light, I grow it with my bulbos. Any suggestion on culture?
