Stanhopea Mormon Pioneer ?
This is the same plant and same psudobulb that produced the flowers that I posted in May of this year. The flowers are quite different. The may flowering occurred indoors in front of a south facing window. Those blooming now have been outside hanging in a tree all summer. The first photo is the May bloom and the others are the from this month.
This hybrid should be Stan. I ( gibbosa X panamensis ). I received the plant from
Hoosier Orchids in 1996. I'm not sure what Mormon Pioneer should look like, but this still looks and smells like oculata to me.

Just got into Stans last yr and glad I did. But I've not heard that blooms can occur twice in same yr. When is a good time to repot if one has not bloomed yet? Bought an occulata in sm. slatted wood basket in June that is quite cramped and was told to put into a larger basket. TY!

Beautiful flowers. I have to admit I don't see any difference.

These have a beautiful pattern. Thank you for sharing.
