Catasetum Frilly Doris...
She finally bloomed.
There are two more spike getting set to bloom too...
Although sideways, this is their true colors.

Thank y'all for the compliments!
Should tell you that there should have been six more blooms on the stalk.
I bought her in a 3" pot this summer. Couldn't repot, so put her in a little bigger clay pot for added balance. Well, as the spikes grew bigger I thought the pot would do it's job. I was watering other chids on the table, Doris's buds were beginning to open, drops of happy sap on the stems, when she tipped over, spike first on the ground. I was sick!
Can't believe nothing broke off. So now she's in a bigger cache pot until dormancy...

That is so beautiful! This is one that has been on my wish list for a while, but Catasetums scare me caring for the dormancy.
