Default a couple of spikes

Hey there Board,
I just wanted to share a few spikes i am thrilled to see - This is she second summer I've owned these plants.
the first is Catasetum 'fanfair', it has just made 2 massive bulbs and both have spikes.
THe second is Stan. Connatta. Yes the spike tried to get out the bottom, but looks like it is going out the side now

UPDATE:
Well I thought I was going to miss this bloom because I was out of town for a week and a half - but no it is ready to burst. The stan looks like a big blob of butter and the Catasetum bulbs keep getting bigger.

Hello fellow NCian. How do you grow these guys? I can't say I have ever grown any Catasetums or relatives. Exciting to see spikes.

Greetings HR!
The catasetum is in sphagnum with some perlite mixed in, plastic pot. It is a vigorous plant that would probably do well for anyone. I read it likes sun & fertilizer so that's what I give it !

The Stanhopea is in a net basket lined with coco husk, and fir bark/ tree fern mix. This mix is a little too dry I think. No new growth this summer, but it did spike so I am pleased. My other Stan. is in sphagnum and has 2 new growths.
