Re the noid: the stem looks quite upright? That could indicate it has some catasetum sanguineum in it.

Sadly with the variation in crosses you may never be able to positively identify it. The best tactic would be to ask the seller once you have male flowers: he may be able to recognise it as a cross he's done.

Those are fascinating! I've never seen a catesetum before (and I shouldn't have now, because now I want one). Are they tricky to take care of?
