Ctsm. Bela Vista's Sangria 'Jamie's Purple Passion' HCC/AOS x Ctsm. pileatum v. imper
Pretty sure I have a spike on Ctsm. Bela Vista's Sangria 'Jamie's Purple Passion' HCC/AOS x Ctsm. pileatum v. imperale 'SVO Blood Red'
Anyone have a flower pic of the Orchid yet ?
Growing very well here , I started watering about a 10 days ago . Not sure the roots are three to five inches long . But it seemed to me like the top growth was big enough to start watering. It has grown a lot in the past few day including starting the spike.
Thanks
Steve

I checked OrchidWiz and there is no picture. But it was registered in 2014 by Fred Clarke and is called Ctsm Bella's Dream. Possibly Fred could help with a photo.

Steve, I also have this catasetum. Been growing it since 2013, hopefully this year I might see the flowers finally
I also looked for pics of this cross in the net and I found two of them. However they look so different from what could be expected from this cross, so I suspect they've just been mislabeled and confused with different hybrids.
So, here's the first one:
and the second one:

Thank you
Thanks for the reply and the images. I see you are in Kiev, hope all is well . The spike on my plant is progressing well . I have had to place my plants outside under my Bamboos. We are selling this house so I needed to clear away the plants from under lights. Day night temperatures are around 16 C to 26 C this time of year. We are on about the same line as Lisbon in Portugal here in the D.C. area. I'm hoping the plants will survive outside.
I'm hoping to make use of the European members for knowledge of growing Catasetum and trading/buying plants. Once we are settled in the The Hague I'll let people know we are ready to get started. I'm looking forward to having time to make some stained glass panels with Catasetum flowers as the design.
Thanks again
Steve

Ctsm. Picture.
Jamie Lawson, who works with Fred Clarke, might have a picture.
His contact information is on his website: Home Page

I'm glad to see your post. A week after I saw it, I realized I have this cross. I picked the plant up from SVO at the Houston Orchid Show last year. This is the first blooming for me. Unfortunately, snails damaged one spike and ate a few flowers on the other. Three flowers remained and open. They are female. Not sure this helps you much. I bought it thanking it would be dark, but green as a lime.

Thanks for the images , lovely to see female flowers . The buds on mine are growing well. My plants are outside for the Summer, seem to like where they are under Bamboo with Sun slanting in Morning and evening.
Thanks again
Steve
