I last saw my one a week ago, I've been on vacation and when I left the spikes were about an inch long. One was slightly higher than the other, I am really interested in seeing the colour too. After Dark for example has many different colours/cultivars

Look what I found:

Mormodia (Clowesia X Mormodes) - Floraisons - Forums Orchidees.fr

If you look at the buds on that, they are definitely green, so I think yours are going to be a different colour.

Oh yeah. Mine are still pretty dark. definitely not going be green. But I hope they hold the stripes with the color to make them a funky tiger stripped.

Don't mind my chef uniform..or my American Bully, Pluto, tail. As you can see they still.got the dark tips with the green body. Should open up any day now. Some are starting to ripen up.

buds are still developing but I can definitely see a pinkish hue.....

....and tendency is to pendency which is as per the Fred Clarke description. OPs looks more upright, plus the one on the other link.

looks like you are still watering ? per Fred you should have stopped around Xmas, but definitely by now ? I stopped watering, waiting to see the effect on the spikes, if any.

They haven't shown any signs of dormancy. Unlike some of my Cstm. & Fdk. They have all dropped their leafs quite some time ago. Most of them are developing new roots and growths at the moment.

My millennium magic skipped dormancy and started 2 new growths - I have continued to water.
However - per Fred in his newsletter - this is what should happen and I am following this advice for all my other ctsms.

"The onset of dormancy is caused by several factors: the maturity of the pseudobulb, shortening day length, cooler day/night temperatures and a reduction of root zone moisture. Generally, this process occurs naturally; however, when the plants are cultivated in warm growing areas such as in the home or under lights, dormancy sometimes needs to be encouraged. I have found that stopping watering in late December, regardless of the number of green leaves, will trigger dormancy in plants that are resisting the necessary transition.
By late December, it's important to get your Catasetinae into the dormant stage; to provide them with an adequate rest period so that they will 'wake up' early in the spring to a long growing season. "
