Cycnodes Wine Delight 'Jem'
Mt first rebloom on this plant. I got it last year in spike, and it bloomed twice. Here's hoping I get another one this time. The fragrance is awesome, but really hard to describe.

the fragrance reminded me of robitussin cough syrup. I moved mine outside cus it was actually nauseating it was so strong. The fragrance is classified as an aromatic. I would call it more like a medicinal astringent.

Beautiful!!! I've always admired this orchid, the color is just gorgeous.
Funny to read how you would describe the scent! Then again, I had a Haraella odorata which smelled really chemical, a smell that could best be described as lemon scented toilet cleaner... That plant died, but the replacement plant smelled like real lemons. which is a much nicer smell!

fragrances are very complex. A good orchid sniffer is like one them sommelier's and can pick out each one of the elements that makes the whole. I try to break them down so you can try to experience them in a similar fashion
I think most of us dont have a nose that could be an appendage. I am french by the way so I came with a big nose already fully grown
