Frilly Doris AKA Pollen Flinger
Default Frilly Doris AKA Pollen Flinger

I could not be more pleased with my Frilly Doris, it is far more showy than I expected. Very, very fun orchid....

My only complaint is that Doris is a pollen shooter if you poke the flowers. I was inspecting them last night and must have triggered one of the blooms. Not going to lie, it scared the $%& out of me. My Doris is a dude with some uncouth habits.

No idea on the scent of this one. After the pollen shooting incident I've decided not to put my face near it.

I included some dark pics because I like the drama/colors. All taken with phone, so there is a little blur :/

Yes, I figured the flowers would fade fast if the triggers are hit. I'd rather not get assaulted with pollen anyway.

So cute. I lost (killed) mine. May I ask where you got this from? Seeing yours, makes me want another one

Doris is still with me one year later. Two spikes this year! And one flower missing its frill. Still love her (him?)
