I absolutely love this plant! I now must search for one to purchase. I need a Christmas present, right?

Very cool blooms. The shape and color combination, along with their presentation on the spikes, make for a highly appealing display. And then there's the fun aspect of encouraging visitors to get close and have a whiff just to watch their reactions when the pollen is discharged (probably wouldn't stay in bloom for me very long since I'd have a hard time keeping myself from having the plant perform this rather atypical orchid trick). Congratulations on your blooms--and for a second year in a row.

Update 9/9/16
Frilly Doris in full splendor. I feel like this year's blooms are especially large.

I like seeing annual updates of plants, it's easy to think that the plant just repeats itself, but when you compare photos it's nice to see an increase in blooms or in this case size. Nice plant and good growing.

Wow, those blooms are bigger than I thought they were. So cool, I love how the plant scared you the first time it shot pollen at you. Funny stuff.
