Catasetum Edgardo A. Pauneto (Frilly Doris x lucis)
Here is my first bloom of this recently named hybrid. The petals are completely reflexed to the back of the flower. If they were not reflexed the flower would be about 3" wide. Appears very similar to Frilly Doris with only a slight greenish hue from the lucis. Flowers are very fragrant and so far the best spike had 10 flowers. It seems to flower in waves, one spike per new growth and as those mature a second spike starts from each new growth, I'm getting 6 spikes in the first blooming. Spikes are about 1' long and display amongst the leaves vs the 3'+ the Ctsm lucis is capable of. Hope you all enjoy.
