Default Cycnoches peruviana

The first flower opened today. I know it still has to open a bit more but I found this flower so beautiful I couldn't wait to post pictures. I will post more photos soon.

Thank you! I will get a picture of the entire plant in a couple of days when more flowers are open.

The culture is typical Cycnoches culture. In the summer: lots of water, food and bright light. Once the leaves have fallen off it gets to "rest" until the new growth is big enough to receive water.

And I can't lie, I'm in love too!

Always a fun species! You can get peruviana here in the US, but its not common. Try the usual vendors (SVO, Andys, etc.), but I'd also give Pine Ridge Orchids, Stephen Moffitt (Catasetinae) and even H&R Nurseries a call to see if they have them before looking abroad.
