1st SVO order today now to sit and wait...

After the week I have had I Decided I needed a little reward. So since eBay did not have anything I particularly cared for I decided to place my 1st SVO order. I made myself behave and only ordered 4 but here's what I got and can't wait to get them to come in.

3inch Ctsm. Lovena (Ctsm. fimbriatum v. morrenianum 'SVO' x Ctsm. Susan Fuchs 'Burgundy Chips' FCC/AOS )

3inch Ctsm. fimbriatum v. morrenianum 'SVO' x Ctsm. Dragon's Teeth 'SVO' AM/AOS'

3inch Cyc. warscewiczii 'SVO' AM/AOS x Cyc. warscewiczii 'Jumbo Mutation'

3inch Morm. colossus 'Giant Ginger Snap' x Cyc. warscewiczii 'Giant Swan'

I keep seeing the cyc. Warscewiczii popping up in various hybrids and they are so neat looking. So I really want to see how these hybrids come out.

I have won 2 from eBay through them and loved them. I have 1 in fact that is split from natural causes. Its both growing big fat and happy. I will def. Post pictures when I get them these guys will be small if I am right at 3 inches pots.

I love everything I've ever gotten from SVO. My society featured a bunch of his plants at the yearly auction, and it was so hard not to buy them all. I'm moving more towards the species end of the spectrum for Catasetinae now, but I'll always keep an eye out for a particularly interesting hybrid of his.

I'm so jealous...I hesitated too long at the last show I went to and this woman bought all the remaining catasetinae that SVO had!...something like 10 or so plants! :'(

Hesitated because I have limited space and these can get quite large...plants looked beautiful though.

Yeah that's the good thing about country living. Especially in Texas...no nearby orchid shows. Otherwise my house would be filled to the rafters with orchid show plants and my bank act. Wld show that as well. I'm a college senior everything must be moderated or else. Haha. plus I am staying at my sisters for my field placement....plants are required to be outside....or that is what she thinks Will happen!!! Haha

Got the email from Fred today that the plants will be here on Thursday...Man thats such a long time to wait.
I did a little more googling and the morrenianum ctsm. is seriously creeptastic in my opinion. I can't wait even more now.

Ugh!!! I am making up a potential list and no matter what I do I can't get it under $150! I eliminate one or two and then I add two or three! I have no idea how you controlled yourself and only got four.

Ummm. I am traveling the equivalent of about 550 miles a week. With my field placement and I am a country kid who drives a big pick up....and gas ain't cheap! Sooo yeah that was how I only allowed 100 w shipping. Haha. I think I dropped.....$120 in gas this week....and this is week one....

Well, I know you're a college student...I'm just saying it's so difficult to choose! Do I want to focus more on intergenerics or not? Sigh. My goal is under $100, but I might cave and do the list I have now with is $150 including shipping. I clearly have some favorite parents in these crosses because they pop up numerous times in my choices. At least one of Ctsm. fimbriatum or Ctsm. denticulatum are in four of the crosses I'm eyeing. >.< This hobby is very dangerous when money is tight but desire is almost overwhelming. :P
