icepengwyn on eBay

She's a great seller. I have a bunch of her tolumnia as well as the cat alliance plants. If you message her she will tell you what she has in stock or has a source of that isn't listed.

Yes! That is what I love about them as well. I'm also pretty clumsy with foliage sometimes. It is nice to get a clean slate every spring. I've been staring at the burned leaves of a Den. I burned earlier this year

Currently have my eye on a Ctsm. on Ebay if it doesn't go too high......although I know it will

Eventually I'll get myself a Wine Delight. They look lovely!

Thanks Katrina. I keep seeing so many that are in bloom already and when I look at my two...no sign of a spike. With full sun, good fertilizer, plenty of water, healthy roots, I figure that there is not much more I can do for them.

WOW! It seems really early...but then again, these darned things can't read a calendar and they are awful at following the rules.

Don't worry...w/that much light I'm sure you'll see spikes before too long. I usually do get some spikes and flowers in the summer but most don't come until late summer/early fall. My Wine Delight is always later.

Suzanne -- many will bloom after they are completely leafless. Depending on the background/species...the family produces bloomers in all phases...from early in development up to after the leaves have dropped. There is even a few w/in the alliance that don't completely go dormant. It's a very interesting group of orchids...to say the least.

I actually use Iron sulfate to lowers the pH, not just plain iron. A lower pH helps free the iron for the plants to use. Many plants that prefer a lower pH also prefer more iron. So, what I said is actually technically wrong. Sorry. I hope this clarifies things. :|

I just won one of these plants on eBay, and picked up a Yellow Swan too...now I need to stop! I'm getting a little overwhelmed with orchids in my little apartment and want to be able to take good care of them all.
