Coryanthes macrantha
This plant is making me very happy. Got it only as small import in January, from Peruflora, potted in large plastic basket, lined with cocofiber, mix of medium bark and sphagnum. It took off immediately, new roots and leaves growing within weeks. It had already one spike in spring, produced one bud. It is a monster now, and it has another spike with 2 buds that opened today. Keeping it on moist side, sometimes adding fresh lemon juice to water, letting the ants live happily with this plant to provide extra acidity. Regular fertilizing, seaweed and MagiCal.

nikkik, it is really "fun plant" to grow. The smell is huge plus, really amazing. And it grows so fast for me, just for comparison picture when I got it in January and now.

Yeap, I do not know what is the trick, but it must be the combo of fresh lemon juice, MagiCal, seaweed, fertilizer, our heat and humid weather, I assume :-) Very happy with this guy!

That is an amazing plant. Thanks for the comparison picture. It seems that once established, and under the right climatic conditions, plants grow much faster than in our greenhouses.
